Mulch in container gardening?
I am planing a deck garden and just wanted to know if after I plant my seeds is it a good idea to put a layer of mulch to help retain moister. Will the plants break threw and will it be to acidic for seedlings?

is better to put the mulch after the come out at list a inch, than will be ok and very neat, have this beautiful red mulch (the one I use! )!

Mulch is generally good. But some seeds like open sunlight to sprout (photosensitive).The humic acid liberating from digested mulch is not dangerous and is useful for plant growth. Sow seeds at 5 to 10 times deep with refernce to its seed size.
Wait until your seedlings have become established plants. Applying a mulch when they are seedlings will hold too much water around them causing damping off and may very well deprive them of necessary nutrients depending on substance used.
